The Samsung Galaxy S3 is one of the most anticipated phones of the year, up there with the Nokia Lumia 900 and whatever the next iPhone will be. The folks from ZDNet Korea are reporting that it will be available in Europe this April, just in time for the 2012 Olympics in London. This makes perfect sense considered Samsung is one of the major sponsors of the summer event.
None of this has been confirmed by Samsung. According to The Verge, who tried to reach out to Samsung the response was:
“We reached out to Samsung for comment and were met with the boilerplate “Samsung does not comment on rumors or speculation” response. So this is definitely not an official confirmation as of yet, but a release timeline starting in April would make a lot of sense to us.”
So at this point it’s just a rumor. But considering ZDNet being a reputable source, you can count on it. No word when it might be released in the US.
