HTC One Announced for 2013

Screen shot 2013-02-19 at 2.35.45 PMWith Mobile World Congress on the horizon HTC held a press conference today to announce the launch of HTC’s newest mobile phone, One. The handset is HTC’s flagship device for 2013 and just like every year the specifications have been improved in all aspects from the previous model. But, HTC has gone a step further and has also refined its software offerings and has put attention into the finer details.

The HTC One will have a full metal body and house a 4.7″ 1080P HD screen that will have a rating of 468 PPI. The screen will have what HTC is calling Infinity Glass which will be resistant to glare and scratches. Above and below the screen will house dual speakers which will be powered by an amplifier to produce quality audio in which HTC calls BoomSound technology.

The rear of the phone houses a HTC Ultrapixel Camera which has larger sensor than previous units, an aperture of F2.0, and optical image stabilization. OIS is a great feature that allows for better pictures to be taken in day and especially at night. Hopefully, HTC will utilize the better lens and pair it with a great camera application to create a unique / new experience.

The phone will ship with a new version of Sense which includes BlinkFeed, Zoe, and an interactive TV guide that will coincide with the IR sensor embedded in the HTC One.
