Steve Litchfield from All About Windows Phone is at it again. Last month we pointed you to his Nokia Lumia 920 vs. Nokia 808 PureView camera shootout, and this time around he pits the Nokia Lumia 920 against the older (but still lethal) Nokia N8. For those of you who haven’t followed Nokia or mobile camera tech — the Nokia N8 will probably take better photos than your phone, and it’s at least 3 2 years old (thanks for info Jen). The Nokia 808 PureView was its successor and Nokia would love for you to call the Lumia 920 the new camera king.
Steve first shows the original photo taken by the Nokia Lumia 920 before cropping both versions and placing them side by side, as shown below.
(N8 left, 920 right)
Both photos are very clear but the hue is different. According to Steve, the colors on the 920 are correct.
Check out these low-light comparisons…
The flash was fired, and remember the N8 has xenon flash while the 920 has dual-LED. The difference is noticeable as the N8 shows more detail up close and doesn’t look as distorted. It’s interesting how much light was pulled in with the 920 (see the tap handles in the background).
