by Mike Macias 02.19.2012
Galaxy Note Best Price

The highly anticipated Galaxy Note for AT&T is now available at a handful of phone retailers in the US. You can pick it up from AT&T directly for $299, but the best deal on the Galaxy Note we’ve found right now is from Amazon for $249 with free shipping. In terms of Galaxy Note colors, both the carbon blue and the white are available. What makes the Galaxy Note so special?  The biggest thing in my opinion, literally and figuratively, is the screen. The Galaxy Note features a 5.3-inch HD Super AMOLED display with 1280 x 800 resolution that will leave your jaw dropped open for awhile. This makes it the largest screen for a phone on the AT&T network. It runs Android 2.3, but it’s said to be upgraded .....

Big price for a big phone: Samsung Galaxy Note available on Feb. 19th for $299.99; AT&T taking preorders

The Samsung Galaxy Note has a massive 5.3-inch and impressive 1280×800 resolution. This appeals to many Android users looking for a near-tablet experience, while the average phone user might find it too big. Available on February 19th for $299.99, the Samsung Galaxy Note instantly becomes a standout device in the AT&T lineup. Impatient customers can preorder the device right now at att.com or inside retail stores. Galaxy Note Too Big? A 5.3-inch screen with a high-resolution display would look beautiful, but how nice would it be to use with one hand or trying to get it out of your pocket while wearing jeans that fit properly. Some people prefer a phone this big, especially people with large hands. For me, with average size hands, I wouldn’t be able to get .....

Samsung announces the Galaxy S Advance for world markets

Samsung announces the Galaxy S Advance for world markets

Today, Samsung Electronics unleashed the Galaxy S Advance smartphone. It ships with Android Gingerbread and features the TouchWiz UI created be Samsung. I’d consider this a middle to high-end Android phone with a 4-inch Super AMOLED curved display, a 5-megapixel camera, powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor. Initially the Samsung Galaxy S Advance will be available in Russia this February, eventually reaching Europe, Africa, Middle East, Asia, Latin American, and China. No word on North American availability, and that’s a good thing considering how saturated the Android market is here.

Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini Pro: 4 months on

by Alvin Wong 01.03.2012
Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini Pro

Just 4 months ago, I decided it was time for me to jump on the Android bandwagon and picked up a Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini Pro, writing a really extensive review on it for this site as I discovered everything that Android had to offer. It’s been my daily driver ever since I bought it, and today I’m going to present a long-term review of this device, telling you how it is like to actually own and use over an extended period of time instead of the usual rundown after a 2-week blast.
