A week with the T-Mobile Blackberry 9360: Day 3

This is part 3 in a daily post our T-Mobile Blackberry 9360 journal review series. Click here for Day 1 and Day 2. Before heading to bed I was pleased that the battery for the Blackberry 9360 was still in the green and decided to let the battery ride out and see how long it would carry me into the next day. I figured that since it was a Blackberry I should be able to get at least through most of the next day without charging over night. This would turn out to be a big mistake.

A week with the T-Mobile Blackberry 9360: Day 2

A week with the T-Mobile Blackberry 9360: Day 2

This is part of our Blackberry 9360 Journal review series. The second day with the Blackberry 9360 started roughly at 6:30am with me pulling it off the charger and instantly going to my music library which I loaded the night before. Although I had my computer right in front of me I decided to listen to some tunes while getting ready for work. The single speaker that is housed in the back bottom area of the device is loud and clear. The design of the speaker is genius considering that its curved so it does a great job of “reflecting” the sound upwards and intensifying the loudness. Naturally, listening to the device in doors in a quiet area is not a true test, but I did manage to keep it .....

A week with the T-Mobile Blackberry 9360 : Day 1

This is part of our Blackberry 9360 Journal review series. Before I begin this post on the T-Mobile Blackberry 9360 I wanted to say thank you to Kelsey and T-Mobile for sending a review unit out to us. I will have this unit for two weeks which they have provided with T-Mobile service. Greatly appreciated! The Blackberry 9360 arrived half charged with SIM in place, active line of service, and a 2GB microSD card installed. I wanted to be fair and start the day on a full charge so I left it charging overnight. I received it on the 9th and decided to just have a look and let the full experience start on the 10th. Its difficult to describe the feeling of using a physical keyboard after using touch .....

Sibling to the T-Mobile 9900 released earlier this month the Blackberry 9360 is a considered a little brother /sister to the 9900. In regards to its specifications the 9360 doesn’t quite pack the same punch and is missing the capacitive touchscreen of its older sibling but does bring the improved Blackberry OS which will display on a compact  2.4″ display. The 9360 will have 5MP camera with flash and like most of Blackberry’s line-up include a full qwerty keyboard. The Blackberry 9360 will be available on September 28th in black and release in an exclusive merlot color on October 12th. Pricing has not been released for the Blackberry 9360. Source : T-Mobile

When of the main issues I had when visiting London last year was navigating the Underground, especially during peak times. The amount of people jumping on and off the trains was incredible and sometimes overwhelming. I’ll admit after while things became easier and I didn’t have a problem navigating but it would’ve been so much easier if an app would give me step by step directions. Yesterday, Google introduced public transit directions for the London tube system using either maps.google.com from your computer or the Google Maps application for iOS, Android, and Blackberry.
