Hi I have just brought a e71 phone. Please help me with the following issues. I am regretting buying the phone because of these issues and I don't think this website would be here if they weren't solvable.
1) How do I turn Wlan off?
Wlan scanning is off but I can't access the web without the phone searching for a wireless connection which I don't want to set up because I read somewhere that if set up it will use that all the time. Is there an option for turning it off/on when I want, like it is with bluetooth?
2) How do I delete emails TOTALLY from my inbox?
I'm sure if your reading this you know what I'm talking about. I want to delete emails and have them disappear not remain behind, even if it is just the headers!
3) Phone is unlocked, can I really only use Vodaphone or 3?
I brought the phone unlocked, when asked for retrieval for my email, only providers listed are Vodaphone and 3. Where are o2, orange, etc. These providers show if searching for networks through settings but not in email. WHY?
4) Can I download Opera Mini and set as default browser?
Self explanatory really, can't access web yet but wish to know anyway please.
BTW tried to register, have a username but had no opportunity to enter a password, tried 'lost password.' This just loads the login form, says check email for password but no password provided just the link.
Thanks in advance for the help.

Offline1. Press pad on WLAN scanning off, you will see your current active Wlan, PRESS PAD on it, you'll see 3 options, the last one Switch WLAN scan off, press it.
2.Open Message, go to Inbox, you'll see all your received messages. Keep pressed the capital sign (an arrow) and mark all the messages with the bottom of the pad. Press the "delete" key ( the one with the arrow with an X). All messages will be deleted. Do the same with Sent messages.
3.If your phone is unlocked you can use any provider. You just have to configure all your used emails
4.You can download Opera Mini from Ovi Store, i'm not sure if you can set it as default browser but maybe yes.

Hi elboyero,
Thanks for replying, what you suggested works for text messages but not for emails. Opera download works great though and through it I came across emoze, which, although it eats the battery a bit isn't really a problem for the humongous battery of the e71.
