I’ve got two problems.
1. Each time I set a destination to “Drive” to I get the following message: “Car navigation cannot start at this location”
2. The map is blank and does not show streets and roads detail.
I’ve yet to experience the voice navigation because of the problem in concern #1.
What am I missing here? Could you help me?

I Got it figured out. For those of you new to this phone and it's features who might be experiencing a problem like this I'll explain what was wrong and what I did.

To begin the name of the file listed above (nokia_maps_3.03_10wk11_b04_s60_3.1_rom.Nocs) commonly known as "Ovi Maps" was my fist issue of confusion. Because it was called "Ovi Maps" led me to the impression that I was done and I had "Maps". I feel the name for this 'application' would have been better as "Ovi Navigation" but that's all history now and in the past. Too late to make such a change now. I now understand that this file was simply the program that pretty much is transparent and not the map.

I had already had the Ovi Suite which I had to learn how to use. This of course was key in downloading the maps and voice for the program. There are some helpful hints and videos here to assist you in the use of this suite and a nice video here simplifying the details how to download and install maps and voices on your device.

I started out downloading the entire US and after a while of seeing that for some reason this was a slow process I canceled the download. That was over a GB of data and was going to take a long time. I then started over and optioned to download only three states and the US voice with streets.

Forums sf smile I'm now a happy camper with a functional "Navigational" GPS system with "Maps" on my Nokia E71. I'm very impressed and pleased with it's performance.

Greg, you're a lifesaver!

I formatted the memory card and lost all the street maps. That ovi pc suite downloaded all the maps to my phone and solved all the sync problems as well.

Anyone looking for answers to this question….look no further. Here's the link to ovi pc suite:
