Google has made official their new Nexus 7 tablet, priced to compete with the Apple iPad and Kindle Fire. At $199.99 for the 8GB model, we think this device is priced right. If you need more space you can pick up the 16GB model for $249.99. Early purchasers get a $25 credit to use for apps, music, and movies in the Google Play Store to help load up your new tablet with some goodies.

The device is made by ASUS, which I am absolutely ecstatic about. I own three of their products and love the build quality and detail that they put into their hardware.
You might have noticed in the specs that it runs the latest version of Android, the newly announced 4.1 Jellybean. While I always shudder at Google’s Android naming scheme, I was extremely impressed with the new Jellybean announcement today.
