Today I was informed by Nokia’s North America Customer Support via email and on Twitter that they are aware of the connectivity problems with the latest Nokia Lumia 920 firmware update (1308) and a fix is on the way.
“We have received some consumer feedback related to the Nokia Lumia 920 firmware update and have temporarily paused delivery of the update to investigate. Weâ€™ll have more information as it becomes available. For those who have already updated their software, a new update will be available in the near future. “

In other words, if you haven’t already updated your Lumia 920 to version 1308, you won’t be able to do so just yet. And it’s for the better — believe me. I’m not having major issues with mine, but it’s definitely a problem. It’s certain areas in my city that are killing my connection. Walking out of my neighborhood grocery store and a few areas at my work leave me with no data and my signal drops. It’s quite annoying and I’m glad to see that Nokia is working on the problem. They mentioned that it would be fixed in the near future… I won’t be grocery shopping until this is fixed ;).
Just a few hours ago I posted about the latest firmware (1308) rolling out for European variants. I’m not sure if the connectivity problems are affecting these variants as well or if those updates will be halted. We’ll get back to you if we find out more.
