Speculation around Nokia and their upcoming announcements on April 12 has been running rampant the past few days. The craziest rumor I’ve seen is a 1Ghz Symbian device being announced and 12 new Symbian devices. Nokia has already told us a 1Ghz Symbian phone is in the works but I don’t think it’s ready just yet. Save that for Nokia World in September. As for 12 new Symbian devices… I feel that’s possible this year, but not right now.

What we can expect to be announced this Tuesday is the Nokia X7, E6, and maybe even a detailed look at the updated Symbian UI coming this summer. How can we be so sure the X7 will be released? Well, the company Three from the UK spilled the beans. Take a look…

Nokia X7 hands-on video from Three

Nice, right? I don’t have many other details on the X7 right now. As you can see it will have the 4″ ClearBlack display and firmware newer than N8 and E7, and an 8MP camera probably the same as the E7 and C7. Current Symbian^3 devices should be getting the PR2.0 update later this month. Personally I’m looking forward to the portrait qwerty keyboard and updated web browser.

Nokia E6 leaked

The Nokia E6 was also leaked by Nokia’s official Youtube account today but luckily for them the video was set to private, along with the X7. You can’t get more unofficially official than that.

I posted a photo of the Nokia E6 last month over at Symbian Fanatics and it got quite a lot of attention. It’s the same for factor as the classic Nokia E71 with a capacitive touchscreen and Symbian^3.
