The official Flickr Android App has been made available today for those who love taking photos with their cameraphone. If you are a photo enthusiast like myself then you probably already have a Flickr account. And based on the number of Android phones being sold nowadays, you probably already have an Android device too! Check out some of the features that you’d get with the Flickr app for Android devices…

Flickr for Android features
- Share to social networks: “Simultaneously upload your photos to Flickr and safely share them with your friends on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, via email, blogs and more, all straight from the app.”
- Custom filters: ”Just capture with the in-app camera and enhance with one of our custom filters.”
- Groups, add to albums, and more: By using the Android app you’ll be able to access many additional features online such as powerful organizational tools, community groups, fun photo apps and so much more. And, just like the Flickr site, our Android app allows you to share photos only with the people you want to with Flickr’s easy privacy settings.”
I’d say that’s a pretty good set of features. As of right now it doesn’t seem like you can create a new set or album directly from your device. That is a feature I’d love to have, but it’s not a deal breaker. You can swipe through the photos and the fullscreen view is nice. I’m sure they will have a bit of tweaking to do as this is their first release. Give it a try and be sure to leave your feedback!

Speaking of Flickr… be sure to visit The Mobile Fanatics Flickr Group and leave a few nice pictures you’ve taken with your cameraphone. There are some amazing shots there so be sure to check it out!
