This week at CES I was able to get my hands on the newly announced Nokia Lumia 900 and compare it to the Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch that I’m currently reviewing. It’s a great comparison considering both of these devices are at the higher-end of the smartphone spectrum. The Galaxy S2 has a 4.5-inch AMOLED screen and the Lumia 900 has 4.3-inch AMOLED screen. In terms of thickness the Galaxy is .38-inches and the Lumia 900 is .45-inches (max). I say max because the back of the 900 is rounded off so it starts off thinner and in the middle hits its thickest point. So the design specs are similar, although the insides are much different. But this article is to showcase the external hardware, not the internal, so we’ll focus on that.
Before I move forward with all the photos I’d first like to mention something about this Lumia 900 unit. Let it be known that this exact phone in the photos is a prototype model and not the final product. The edges will be smoothed out a bit and the labels will be different. For the most part though, the body is finished. Unfortunately I couldn’t get any shots with the screens turned on.

Thanks to the Nokia 900 product manager Vance for letting us take pictures of this prototype.
Stay tuned for more coverage of the Nokia Lumia 900 coming soon to AT&T.
