Today I’m starting a series that will last about 2 weeks called “PureView Photo of the Day”. It will feature a few camera samples every day taken with the Nokia 808 PureView. This groundbreaking device has a 41-megapixel 1/1.2″ sensor, just in case you haven’t heard already! The camera specs include a xenon flash, f/2.4 Carl Zeiss lens, and a mechanical shutter. This phone has the best camera specs on the market right now.

I can go on and on about the details of the camera, or I can just show you some amazing photos I’ve managed to take with the 808 PureView. Right! That’s what I’ll do!
I’m kicking things off with a few photos at the Long Beach harbor, Birth 55 specifically. The purpose of this article is to show you how good a full-resolution photo at 38 megapixels looks when you crop it down. Have a look for yourself…

Here is the same image – Cropped
Stunning! I’m amazed at the clarity and detail you get when you look at the full-size images.
I hope you enjoyed the first article of this series and be sure to follow me on Twitter @mikemacias where I’ll be posting more 808 PureView camera samples throughout the weeks – right when I take them!
