Microsoft announces its lineup for the upcoming holiday/2011 season with an array of new handsets. It’s no doubt that many are in high anticipation when it comes to Windows Phone 7 devices and most of these are set to hit providers as early as November for the U.S. Let’s see what each carrier will be offering this holiday season.
AT&T
T-Mobile
The HD7 looks to be the replacement for T-Mobile’s HD2 which is currently available with WinMo 6.5.
Sprint & Verizon: Surprisingly absent from the announcements today. While CDMA units were not in full bloom, it’s no doubt that Verizon and Sprint (among other CDMA carriers) will have their selection of Windows Phone 7 devices – much like in the past, they should carry variants of the more popular GSM models and hopefully will also release exclusives.
World Models:
Some key features to note:
- Dell Venue Pro: Gorilla Glass screen
- LG Optimus 7Q and Quantum support DLNA. Quantum is the only horizontal slider.
- HTC 7 Surround has a kickstand and Dolby / Surround Sound from a dedicated slide-out speaker.
- Samsung Focus and Omnia7 use S-AMOLED displays. The Focus is 9.9mm thick.
